After 9 trusty years, my 1990 Mazda MX-6 sputtered and died the morning of October 29, 2003, with an expensive problem in the ignition system and central processor that would cost twice the worth of the car to repair. Not ones for heroic life-saving measures for terminal cases,* Debbie and I decided to replace the Mazda nine months earlier than planned. The result is this delightful 2001 Honda Prelude.

It should be noted that I have replaced one sporty red coupe with another sporty red coupe. Consequently, it should not come as a surprise to anyone when, 10 years down the road, I turn 45, retire the Prelude, and buy the Porche cabriolet I've longed for since I was 15. Chances are, it will be red.
